Consultation has concluded
The Environmental Quality Board (EQB) has been working to update the organization’s strategic plan to guide our activities for the next five years.
Starting with the existing strategic plan, developed in 2019, our goal was to draft a plan that helps us align our capacity and aspirations, and which provides guidance to the Board, the staff, and all our partners about our role and the work we plan to take on. Specifically, we worked to refine and update the plan to:
Clearly define the components of the plan (mission, vision, values, outcomes, strategies) and ensure alignment between all components;
Make sure it expresses EQB’s specific role and authorities within Minnesota’s environmental governance;
Clearly identify outcomes or long-term goals to be achieved;
Lay out a reasonable number of strategies that, when applied, will move us towards accomplishing the identified outcomes.
In the future, the outcomes and strategies will be used by EQB staff in developing individual and organizational workplans that will support accomplishing the desired outcomes.
